ABOUT US

Having both been trained in furniture making at Rycotewood College in Oxfordshire, we worked for designer makers for two to three years before setting up our own workshop in 1984.

We work in a converted farm building in the Oxfordshire countryside not far from Henley-on-Thames. Clients are welcome to visit the workshop by appointment to view work in progress.

We enjoy working with both solid wood and also with veneers, the latter coming more to the fore as we were asked to design more for the type of environment.

Louise cuts all the marquetry work and we try to incorporate this into the overall design rather than have it just as decoration. Louise cuts mainly for our own designs but is happy to work with other designers and makers on their own projects. Please go to the marquetry pages to view detailed examples of this work.

From the initial meeting with the client through to the delivery of the finished piece we control all the processes in house in our workshop, the exception being carving as we feel this is a specialised field in itself.
